ISTANBUL—One of Turkey’s main investors in start-ups has a tough-love message for entrepreneurs in his country.
“Now is the time for failure,” says Ali Karabey, a venture capitalist based in Istanbul. “Failure is a good thing for the ecosystem. Turkish entrepreneurs need to know what it is like to fail. And then having to get up again and start all over.”
